Advance Registration for SOCACIZE™ Boot camp & SOCACIZE™ in Regina, Saskatchewan!

We had a breathless class in Brampton last Sunday with the drums.
Nation, our drummer, had us panting and sweating - out of breath - with the energizing Caribbean and African rhythms.
Nation played – the djembe (pronounced /?d??mbe?/ JEM-bay).
It is also known as djimbe, jenbe, jymbe, jembe, yembe, or jimbay, or sanbanyi. It’s a skin covered hand drum, shaped like a large goblet, and meant to be played with bare hands. According to the Bamana people in Mali , the name “djembe” comes directly from the saying "Anke dje, anke be" which translates to "everyone gather together", and defines the drum's purpose. "Dje" is the verb for "gather" in Bamanakan, and "be" translates as "everyone" in Bamanakan.
